Stevens, Morris Sheppard, Mrs. (Anna Bell Pool)

Anna Bell Pool Stevens, age 92 and 11 months, of Abernathy, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009 in Robert Lee, Texas, where she resided for a number of years. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Abernathy with burial to follow in Abernathy Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, M.S. Stevens; two brothers, Joe Pool and Glenn Pool; and two sisters, Bertie Mae Bolen and Bess Dane.

She is survived by her children, Evelyn Nobles of Bronte, Texas, Thelma Ruth Duncan and her husband, Bobby of Bronte, Texas, Kennith Stevens and his wife, Toni of Castroville, Texas, and Gene Stevens of Dallas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous niece and nephews.
