Graveside services for Viola Sisemoe Stephenson, 86, of Big Spring, former Plainview resident, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring.
Mrs. Stephenson died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, in Mt. View Lodge in Big Spring.
She was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Lafayette, Ga., the daughter of William H. and Ruth Thompson Sisemore. She lived in Plainview from 1936-2002 when she moved to Big Spring.
She was a beautician and had worked at Esther Owens Beauty Shop and Hazel Bond Beauty Shop. She also was a bookkeeper for Richardson Oil Co., and then for JC Penney when the store opened in 1959.
She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and Business and Professional Women's Club.
On May 10, 1942, she married Walter Ivan Stephenson in Plainview. He died on March 3, 1986.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Young and Joe Fowler of Coahoma; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melvina Penny and Wayne Harkins of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Lorene and Richard Belyeu of Hale Center; and two grandchildren.
Three brothers, James Grant Sisemore, Williams Benjamin Sisemore and Wheeler Sisemore, are deceased.
The family will recieve friends from 7-8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview.
