Obituary

Funeral services for Inez Stephens, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted Wilson, pastor, and the Rev. Elton Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Stephens died at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in Carillon Senior LifeCare Community in Lubbock. She was born March 20, 1918, in Grandfield, Okla., where she grew up and attended schools. She moved to Petersburg in 1941. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church. In 1942 she married Jack Stephens. He died in 1984. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Jeannie Stephens and Hoyt and LaFonda Stephens, all of Petersburg; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
