Obituary

Ara Louise Culp Stanford, 89, of Fort Worth, peacefully went into the arms of her Savior on April 12, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in Plainview Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Brown of Gateway Church Southlake, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Louise, "Diker" to many, was preceded in death by her son Gary, her parents, six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband Gordon Stanford of Fort Worth; son Anthony Stanford and wife Jan of Lubbock; and daughter Rebecca Wilson and husband Dick of Fort Worth; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and prayed for every day. She is also survived by her in-laws, John Stanford and wife Janet of Lubbock, and Dick Lillie and wife Nelda of Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to First Baptist Church Mission Fund, P.O. Box 1137, Kingsland, TX 78639.
