Stambaugh Services
Are Slated Today

Funeral services for William Lewis Stambaugh, 54, of Abernathy will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Abernathy. The Rev. Joe Griffin, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Stambaugh died at 9:50 p.m. Friday in West Texas Hospital.

He was born at Okrachee in Canadian County, Okla., and moved to Abernathy with his parents in 1909. He was married to Alma Crowe of Abernathy on Jan. 23, 1924.

Stambaugh is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Trimmier and Mrs. Paul Bryant, of Lubbock, and Mrs. Vurgil Phillips, Abernathy; three granddaughters, Janice and Lynn Phillips and Debbie Bryant; one sister, Mrs. C. M. Johnson, Roswell, N.M.; and two brothers, T. D., Hereford and O. F., San Antonio.
