Funeral services for Lee Roy Stambaugh, 81, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Powell officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Stambaugh died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. He was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Plainview to George Earl and Willie Maud Stambaugh. He married Lewanda Conger on Sept 30, 1949, in Plainview. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in the Plain?view office for 30 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: a daughter and son-in-law, Tina Marie and Paul Mullican of Owasso, Okla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Dale and Maryann Stambaugh and Ronald "Ronnie" Lee and Kay Stambaugh, all of Plain?view; a sister, Frances Doty of Shallowater; and six grandchildren. His parents; sisters, Joyce Stambaugh and Earlene Waldrep; and brothers, Will A. Stambaugh and Joe A. Stambaugh are deceased. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or a charity of choice .
