Obituary

Funeral services for Joyce Glenn Stambaugh, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Weiss, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Ms. Stambaugh died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born July 12, 1932, in Aiken. She attended Aiken and Plainview schools and had worked at the Hilton Hotel as an elevator operator and was cashier for Plains Typewriter & Supply, Hallmark Card Shop and was the switchboard operator at the Hale County Courthouse for 14 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include two brothers, Will Alton Stambaugh Sr., and Lee Roy Stambaugh, both of Plainview; two sisters, Earlene Waldrep of Plainview and Rebecca Frances Doty of Shallowater. A brother, Joe Allen Stambaugh, is deceased.
