Obituary

Funeral services for Ethel M. Spann, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wood Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Wood Dunning Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Spann died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Prairie House Living Center of Plainview. She was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Hugo, Okla., to Andrew and Bell McDaniel. She married Clyde W. Spann on Jan. 20, 1934, in Roxton. They farmed in the Happy Union community. She was a homemaker. She lived in Plainview since 1959. Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Carol Spann of Amarillo and Wanza Spann of Plainview; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her husband and two sons, Raymond and Clyde W. Spann Jr., are deceased. The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Hospice of Plainview or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
