Obituary

Funeral Mass for Anita J. Soto, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Soto died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Anson to Abundio and Josefina Jimenez. She married Luis Soto on Sept. 16, 1958, in Plainview. She moved to Plainview in 1945. She was a nurse<0x2019>s aide most of her life before retiring in 1993. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Ricky Riojas of Plainview; two brothers, Henry Jimenez of Georgetown and Jesse Jimenez of California; two sisters, Oralia Sanchez and Elida Jimenez, both of Lubbock; one grandson; and one great-grandson. Her parents and one grandson, Chris Ramos, are deceased.
