Obituary

PLAINVIEW (Special) - Services for Monty Ray Sooter, 37, of Dallas will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview with Karl King, minister, and Virgil Yocham, minister of Cooper Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Halfway Cemetery in Halfway under direction of Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Sooter died Thursday, May 29, 1997, at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1960, in Lubbock. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He moved to Plainview from Lubbock in 1967. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1978, and he was named all-state in the UIL architecture competition. He graduated from Texas Tech University, and he moved to Dallas in 1983. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was a master architect for Interprisecq Inc. of Dallas.

Survivors include his parents, Ray and Inez Sooter of Halfway; a sister, Shan Gill of Fort Worth; two brothers, Claude of Dallas and Randy of Irving; and his grandmother, Eunice Foley of Lubbock.
