Hale Center-- Private funeral services' for Charles Soehngen, 73, will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.
Mr. Soehngen died Monday, March 1, 2004, in Lubbock.
He was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Jersey City, N.J. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and moved from Brownfield to Hale Center in 1982.
He was manager of several grocery stores, including the United Supermarket in Plainview. He was with United for more than 25 years. He also coached Little Dribblers basketball.
On June 5, 1982, he married Kaye Harper in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jacque Booth of Hemphill and Melissa Gallaway of Canadian; a son, Allen Mason of Cotton Center; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
