Obituary

AMARILLO ? Funeral services for Mamie B. Sneed, 82, sister of Oma Calcote of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Schooler-Gordon Bell Avenue Chapel with Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor of First Baptist Church of Tulia, and Dr. Chester O?Brien, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Plainview Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Bell Avenue Chapel.

Mrs. Sneed died Saturday, Nov. 3, 1990.

She was born in Stanton and had lived in Amarillo since 1936. She was a member of Amarillo Garden Club, Woodmen of the World and was a supporter of the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She married Aubrey Alfred ?Joe? Sneed in 1928. He died in 1967.

Other survivors include a son, Joe Sneed of Lubbock; two other sisters, Bea Lanham of Troup and Ruth Elliott of Arp; and three brothers, Lee Barron and Gus Barron, both of Overton and David Barron of Kennedale.

A son, Thomas Allen Sneed, died in 1981.
