Obituary

AMARILLO ? Joe Sneed, 58, of Amarillo, son of Mrs. Lois Sneed and brother of Mrs. Dee Smith and Mrs. J. D. Taylor, all of Plainview, died Wednesday in an Amarillo hospital.

Funeral services are pending with Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors.

Mr. Sneed had been a resident of Amarillo for 31 years, where he was in the trucking business.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie; two sons, Thomas Sneed of Odessa and Joe Sneed of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Arthur of Amarillo and Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Smith, both of Plainview; a brother, Boyd Sneed of Brownfield; his mother of Plainview and nine grandchildren.

AMARILLO ? Funeral services for Joe Sneed, 58, of Amarillo, were scheduled for 1 p.m. today in Temple Baptist Church of Amarillo, with Rev. Howard Lyons, pastor of Tascosa Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Sneed was the son of Mrs. Lois Sneed and brother of Mrs. Dee Smith and Mrs. J. D. Taylor, all of Plainview.

Graveside rites were to be at 4 p.m. today in Plainview Cemetery with Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors of Amarillo in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were to be Harold Fuller, A. J. Burleson, Jack Speer, O. M. Patterson, Hugh Kirkland and Bryan Denson.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, three sisters, a brother, his mother and nine grandchildren.
