Smith, Leona Mae ?Bobbie? IOOF, blk. 26

Leona ?Bobbie? Smith, 74, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007. She was born January 23, 1933 in Greenwood, Texas. She moved to Lubbock in 1962 from Plainview and owned and operated North University Beauty World for 18 years before retiring. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her father; a sister; and a daughter, Alice.
She is survived by a son, James Truman Smith and wife Marlene of Lubbock; a daughter, Betty Leona Dockter of Lubbock; her mother, Ruby Roberts of Elmore City, Oklahoma; a step sister, Barbara Eves of Altus, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and special friends Pat and Bill Utley.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Sanders Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-7:00 p.m.
