Obituary

Funeral services for Bertha Sisk, 91, of Plainview will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Colonial Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Foote and Robert Malcolm officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bertha passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, in Plainview. She was born on July 1, 1923, in Mammoth Springs, Ark., to Robert and Sarah Evans. Bertha was a member of Colonial Baptist Church and served many years at the Plainview Senior Citizens. Earlier in life she worked at the California State Fair. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Martin with wife Gayle of Shelton, Wash., and Lyle Smith with wife Laurie of Lake Cushman, Wash.; two daughters, Merline Scott of Plainview and Carolyn Woosley with Larry Smith of Hutchinson, Kan.; two brothers, Earl Evans of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Noel Evans of Tuckerman, Ark.; two sisters, Mattie Markhart and Wanda Markhart with husband Lonnie, all of Hutchinson, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
