Obituary

Anita Belle Sisemore, 83, of Plainview went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 11, 2009, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Bethel Baptist Church in Plainview with Q.D. Bevill officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the funeral home. Mrs. Sisemore was born Nov. 21, 1925, in Plainview, Texas, to Robert and Nolia Allen. She married James G. Sisemore on Jan. 5, 1949. They were married for 54 years when he preceded her in death in 2003. They lived in Lubbock, Halfway and Plainview. She worked in Plainview school cafeterias for 31 years, retiring in 1994 as director of cafeteria services. Mrs. Sisemore is survived by four sons and four daughters-in-law, James and Barbara Sisemore of El Reno, Okla., Jerry and Lisa Sisemore of Lago Vista, Texas, Ricky and Paula Sisemore of Plainview, Texas, and Chris and Alisa Sisemore of Wolfforth, Texas; one brother, Jim Allen of Plainview, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Penny Hawkins of California, Rene Belyeu of Hale Center, Texas, and Mary Lou Allen of Plainview, Texas; grandchildren, Audra and Jeremy Wiese of Oklahoma, Donna Thompson of Oklahoma, Grant and Kristi Sisemore of Lago Vista, Ashley Sisemore of Lago Vista, Piper Sisemore of Lago Vista, Kimberly and Joey Myrick of Plainview, Kristy and Keith Bechtold of Plainview and Geoffery Sisemore of Wolfforth; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sisemore was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Thanks to the staff at Westridge Manor for such loving care of our mom.
