Obituary
Funeral services for Raymond Simoneau, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Simoneau died at 1:48 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. He was born July 30, 1920 in Santa Ana, Calif. and lived in California and Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-46. He moved to Texas in 1966 and to Plainview in 1972. He retired from Northern Natural Gas after 31 years of service. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, the American Legion, Plainview Fat Boys, National Street Rod Association and the Christian Riders. He married Gladys Trybom on March 15, 1947 in Parmer, Kan. Surviving are his wife; five sons, Jim of Rosehill, Kan., Gary of Independence, Mo., Danny of West Plains, Mo. Spud of Plainview, and Emil of Manchaca; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Northside Baptist Church, 1100 W. 32nd, Plainview, TX 79072.
