Floydada ? Funeral services for Robert William Shuping, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Vance Mitchell, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.

Mr. Shuping died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2001, in Mangold Memorial Hospital in Lockney.

He was born Sept. 16, 1918, in Tipton Okla., the son of the late David and Bennie Cunningham Shuping. He attended schools in Tipton and moved to Floydada from Hale Center in 1987. He retired in 1980 as a self-employed contractor.

He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

On April 1, 1947 he married Arlene Thompson in Floydada.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Shuping of Lubbock, Vic Shuping of Plainview, and Danny Shuping of Hale Center; a daughter, Kathy Stanley of Ardmore, Okla.; a brother, Jonny Shuping of Amarillo; a sister, Bee Greer of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A son, Bobby Shuping; four brothers and four sisters, are deceased.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
