Shugart, L.P. Mrs. (Jannie)
Funeral services for Jannie Shugart, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shugart died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at her residence.
She was born July 14, 1931, in Grayson County. She grew up in O?Dell where she attended schools and helped her family with farming until 1951.
She was a member of TOPS, Promenaders Square Dance Club, Home Demonstration Club, and PTA member for several years. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
On Oct. 1, 1948, she married L.P. Shugart in Vernon.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carolyn Pinkerton of Plainview; a son Lloyd Shugart of Plainview; a brother, Crayton Adams of Dallas; two sisters, Sib Dyer of Lubbock and Era Turpen of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, Daina Neil and Mac Shugart, both of Lubbock, Misty Shugart of Amarillo and Shelly Walker and Heath Pinkerton, both of Plainview; and three great-grandchildren, Tanner Walker of Plainview and Coby Neil and Brandt Robison, both of Lubbock.
A son, Mac Shugart, died Oct. 3, 1987.
