Obituary

Graveside services for Mildred Shaddix, 69, were at 1 p.m. today in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Roger Munoz officiating. Burial arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Shaddix died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, in Lubbock. She was born April 17, 1935, in Mineral Wells, the daughter of Leslie and Myrtle Inez Miller. She married Bobby Shaddix on April 19, 1952, in Hobbs, N.M. He died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, in Plainview. Survivors include four daughters, Debbie Owens of Lubbock, Barbara Carson of Hart, Glenda Favila and Brenda Shaddix, both of Plainview; four sisters, Leona Hunt of Elk City, Okla., Melba Clark and Myrtle Fay Laymon, both of Plainview, and Joyce Petty of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her parents and a brother, Fred E. Miller, also are deceased.
