Settle, Hubert C.

Funeral services for Hubert C. Settle, 84, will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Currie officiating.

Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. today in Abernathy Cemetery with burial by Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

Mr. Settle died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001.

He was born Jan. 16, 1917 in Forestburg, was raised in Abernathy and was a longtime Seagraves resident. He married Melva M. Vineyard on Aug. 26, 1954 in Seagraves and was a member of First United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife; and a brother, W.T. Settle of Abernathy.

The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, Box 878, Seagraves, TX 79359, or to a favorite charity.
