Obituary

Funeral Mass for Rita Serrano, 94, was at 2 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Serrano died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Plainview. She was born Oct. 27, 1913, in Mexico. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Jerry Serrano of Plainview; two daughters, Yolanda Ybarra of Plainview and Terrie Nolan of Dallas; eight grandchildren, Adam Nolan, Lisa Nolan Hafner, Theresa Nolan Williams, Laura Ybarra, Tracie Ybarra, Kristi Serrano, Jerry Serrano and Rachel Ybarra; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Pedro Serrano, is deceased.
