Obituary

Funeral services for Nita Senter, 85, of Plainview were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at 11th and Amarillo Church of Christ with Dee Teel and Scott Pinkerton officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Senter died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Santa Fe House. She was born June 8, 1921, in Big Spring to Roscoe and Mae McKinnon Dunagan. She grew up in Elbow and graduated from Forsan High School in 1939. She married Richard Wendell Senter on July 19, 1943, in Big Spring. He died April 20, 1986. The Senters farmed in the Big Spring and Stanton area before moving to Plainview in February 1949. They farmed at Quarterway. She was a member of 11th and Amarillo Church of Christ since 1955. Survivors include two sons, Lewis Senter and his wife, Joyce, of Plainview and Roger Senter and his wife, Cindy, of Canyon; one brother, Raford Dunagan and wife, Jeneva, of Big Spring; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Dunagan of Amarillo and Daisy Senter of Mesquite; four grandchildren, Richard Senter and wife, Christy, of Canadian, Carmen Hayes and husband, Kelly, of Midland, Robyn Holt and husband, Andy, of Canyon and Amy Johnson and husband, Jared, of Amarillo; and nine great-grandchildren.
