Obituary

Daisy Speakman Senter, 85, of Mesquite, formerly of Plainview, went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 27, 2014. A celebration of life service will be held at 10.a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview with Roger Senter and Lyle Miller officiating. Interment will follow the service in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral service arrangements are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Senter was born on Nov. 12, 1928, in Lancashire, England, to the late Sydney and Martha Ellen Speakman. She married John Preston Senter on Feb. 8, 1950, in Lancashire. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1997. She spent her life taking care of her family as a homemaker. She was the founder and charter member of the Cosmopolitan Club of Plainview, as well as a member of the Altrusa Club of Plainview. Mrs. Senter was also a member of the Millennium Singers. She is preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Ivy Crosby. Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Mike Senter; one daughter, Dorothy Sanders; and sisters, Marian Green and Olive Miller. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Ashley Rankin, Brittney Sanders and Preston Senter; two great-grandchildren, Takota Rankin and Taitym Rankin. Mrs. Senter also leaves behind two nieces, Joyce Cabiness and Debbie Fenter; and five nephews, Coy Cook, Malcolm Green, Paul Miller, Lewis Senter and Roger Senter.
