Obituary

Funeral mass for Tomasita Seca, 96, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. John Ohlig, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 tonight in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Seca died at noon Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born April 12, 1905 in Tlahalilo, Durango, Mexico. She married Pedro Pena Seca Sr. in 1935 in Mexico. he died April 30, 1987. She moved from Mission, Texas to Lockney in 1956 and to Plainview in 1960. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Luis Rangel of Mexico, Carlota and Alonzo Gonzalez and Rosita and Johnny Lafuents, all of Plainview, and Natalia and Gilbert Bela of Lubbock; two sons and daughtes-in-law, Angel and Consuelo Seca of Eagle Pass and Pete and Mary Lou Seca Jr. of Plainview; 35 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
