Scott, Wilburn Acie

Funeral services for Wilburn Acie Scott, 8 will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Colquitt Nash, minister of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Scott died at 5 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2001, in Phoenix, Ariz.

He was born May 6, 1914, in Stephenville where he grew up and attended schools. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and had worked as a carpenter until retiring in 1979.

On Oct. 25, 1947, he married Tommie Lee Crisp in Stephenville.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, David Scott of Dumas, Time Scott of Phoenix, Paul Scott of Lubbock and Mark Scott of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the South Plains Chapter of Alzheimer?s Association.
