Obituary

Memorial services for Gary Scott, 52, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Seth Ward Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Scott died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. He was born Aug. 9, 1953, in Plainview to Curtis Wayne and Marquetta Scott. He grew up in Kress and owned G&S Irrigation. He married Vickie Stafford on July 11, 1988, in Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Melia Selman of Sherman, Karrie Peoples of Hale Center and Karla Kinikin of Canyon; one son, Kelly Bain of Amarillo; one brother, Jackie Scott of Kress; two sisters, Beverly Cortez of Coleman and Judy Scott of Abilene; and seven grandchildren. His parents are deceased. A celebration of life gathering will be held after the memorial service at Jackie and Lisa Scott's home in Kress.
