Obituary

Ruby Scott, 83, of Plainview passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Prairie House Living Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Ruby was born Oct. 18, 1923, in George West, Texas, to parents Doc and Eva Millican. She married Francis Scott on Nov. 22, 1941, in Paducah, Texas. Ruby is survived by her husband of the home, Francis Scott; three daughters, Janice Walker of Plainview, Gylene Taylor and husband Mark of Pampa and Vicky Jackson and husband Bobby of Arvin, Calif.; one sister, Mozelle Morris of Amarillo; special friend, Norma Jean Fish of Paducah; nine grandchildren, Doug Walker and wife Rhonda, Scotty Walker, Timothy Walker, Christopher Arp, Nathan Taylor, Duchess Saavedra and husband Stacy, Jonathan Taylor, Shawn Taylor and Stephen Taylor; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary Walker, Ryan Walker, Jordan Walker, Braydon Walker, Madison Walker, Dylan Saavedra, Caydon Walker and Zander Saavedra; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Kourtney Saavedra, Cole Davis, Alisha Davis and Shenandoha Jackson; and many nephews, nieces and church family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Norma Jean; one brother, Allen Millican; one sister, Clara Haddon; and one son-in-law, Coy Walker. Plainview Daily Herald - Sept. 18, 2007
