Clara Schaefer

OLTON - Funeral services for Clara Schaefer, 94, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Plainview with the Rev. Gerald Boerger, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mrs. Schaefer died at 6:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, in Covenant Hospital Plainview.

She was born Jan. 21, 1908, in Caldwell County. She grew up in Uhland where she attended schools. She attended Seguin Lutheran College and moved to Olton in 1941.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for more than 50 years and was a Sunday school teacher.

On Dec. 4, 1935, she married Rudolph Schaefer in Neiderwald. He died Sept. 24, 1985.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Polly and Dick Caspari of Midland, Ruby and Martin Stephan of Coyanosa, Margaret Schaefer of Topeka, Kan., and Maxine and B. Dan Kamp of Trophy Club; five sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and June Bartling of Clyde, Jack and Christine Schaefer of Grand Prairie, Leroy and Margaret Schaefer of Ballinger, Randolph and Tina Schaefer of Adel, Iowa, and Curtis and JoAnn Schaefer of Clarendon; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9-10:45 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 901 Oakland.

The family suggests memorials to The Lutheran Hour radio program in care of St. Paul?s.
