Obituary

Marie Savage, 70, of Plainview, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in the Palliative Care Unit at Covenant Hospital Lubbock. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Robertson of College Heights Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, Dec. 27, 2012, at the funeral home. Marie was born Sept. 24, 1942, to Jesse and Grace Harris in Lockney. After graduating Lockney High School, she attended Lippert's Business School. She married James Carrol Savage on Sept. 19, 1970, in Plainview. She was a bookkeeper for Blair Drug, a bus driver and retired from Covenant Hospital in 2008. After retirement, she volunteered at RSVP. She is survived by her husband,James Carrol Savage of Plainview, one daughter, Lisa Libre and husband Perry of Lubbock; one son, Jason Savage and wife Melanie of Plainview; four grandchildren; and her best friend, Sally Phillips.
