Saul, Doyle, Mrs. (Dorothy Nell Miller)

Hereford-- Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Miller Saul, 87, former Plainview resident, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Saul died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Hereford Medical Center.

She was born April 19, 1916, in Goldthwaite, the daughter of Charles H. Spurgeon Miller and Lola Sykes Miller. She moved to Hale County in 1927 and lived in the Liberty community. She graduated from Plainview High School and Wayland Baptist University. She lived in the Cousins community until moving to Plainview in 1956.

She taught in Plainview schools for 25 years, mostly at Hillcrest Elementary retiring in 1981.

She was a lifetime member of Texas PTA, taugh Sunday school for several years, was a member of Hereford Senior Citizens and a member of Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford.

She moved to Hereford in 1998.

On July 24, 1936, she married Doyle Saul in Plainview. He died March 20, 1996.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Glenn Saul of Plainview, Charles Saul of Durango, Colo., and Roland Saul of Hereford; a sister, Estelle Jones of Bryan; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six step-grat-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Wayland Baptist University, 1900 W. Seventh St., Plainview, TX 79072.
