Obituary

Funeral services for Rick Sauceda, 48, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church with the Rev. Roger Munoz officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Sauceda died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, in Lubbock. He was born April 21, 1959, in Hondo. He lived in Olton and Plainview and attended Plainview schools. He owned and operated Go Green Landscapers in Plainview. He moved to Mertzon and worked for Savala Concrete Co. He also served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Plainview. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Jennifer and Carlos LaFuente, and Rebecca Sauceda, all of Plainview; six brothers, Manuel Sauceda of Eastland, Ernest Sauceda of Hobbs, N.M., Rudy Sauceda of Andrews and Tony Sauceda, Pete Sauceda and Robert Sauceda all of Plainview; six sisters, Julia Jimenez of Abilene, Herminia Flores of Mertzon, Josie Montemayor of Lubbock and Elvira Cuellar, Maria Amaya and Anita Sauceda, all of Plainview; one granddaughter; the mother of his daughters, Sylvia Sauceda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
