Sarabia, Bernabe (Barney)

Funeral Mass for Bernabe ?Barney? Sarabia, 59, of Edmonson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. John Jimenez-Salazar of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Kress, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

Mr. Sarabia died Thursday, March 15, 2001 at his residence.

He was born April 2, 1941, in Yancey. He was a farmer and moved to Edmonson from Yancey in 1954. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church.

On Sept. 22, 1961, he married Belia Reyna in Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diana Cedillo of Edmonson and Suzanne Salazar of Christoval; a son, Victor of Edmonson; two sisters, Rexmunda Esquivel of Lubbock and Concepcion Perez of Plainview; six brothers, Mauricio Sarabia of Abilene, David Sarabia of Hondo, Pete, Domitilo, Audelio and Kyle and Mike Sarabia, all of Hart; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072.
