Obituary

Funeral services for Narvella Sansom, 70, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in United Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Horn, pastor, officiating Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Sansom died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001. She was born July 1, 1931, in Groesbeck where she grew up and graduated from Blackshear High School there in 1949. She moved to Plainview in 1952 and was an income tax preparer for many years. She was a member of United Baptist Church and the Adult Women?s Study Club. Survivors include two daughters, Laney Sansom and Melody Sansom, both of Plainview; four sons, Michael Sansom and Rhyna Sansom, both of Plainview, James Sansom of Seaside, Calif., and Johnny Sansom of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Ruby Ray of Plainview and Dorothy Roberson of Kress; three brothers, Sherman Ray and Garland Ray Jr., both of Amarillo, and Bobby Ray of Plainview; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Robbie Sansom, and two brothers, Willie Ray and Jack Ray, are deceased.
