Funeral services for Donna Sanders, 64, of Plainview were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Interment was at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation was at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sanders died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Plainview. She married Milton Sanders in 1966 in Lubbock, Texas. He died in September 2002. She had lived in Plainview for 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Survivors include three sons, Richard Smotherman of Plainview, Tommy Smotherman of South Texas and Nicky Smotherman of Plainview; two adoptive sons, Michael Marriott of Plainview and Tyler Marriott of Plainview; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Cross of Topeka, Kan., Justin Michael Smotherman of Amarillo, Logan Mathews Smotherman of Amarillo and Katlynn Smotherman of Clyde, Texas; one great-grandchild, Lucas Michael Cross of Topeka, Kan.; and one sister, JoAnn Moon of California.
