Sanders, Joe, Mrs. (Mildred Marie)

Funeral services for Mildred Marie Sanders, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Noble, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Central Plains Cemetery at Cotton Center by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sanders died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Prairie House Living Center.

She was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Kingston, Ark. She moved to Hale County and graduated from Cotton Center High School in 1938 and from West Texas State University in 1942. She taught school for 25 years, 14 of which were in Kress. She also taught in Hart, Panhandle and Plainview.

She was a member of Texas State Teachers Association and Parkview Baptist Church.

On July 28, 1946, she married Joe Sanders in Cotton Center.

Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Wanda Lee McFerrin Hunt of Shallowater and Wynnell McFerrin Lewis of Seminole.

A brother and two sisters are deceased.
