Sanders, Alvin Ray

Funeral services for Alvin ?Ray? Sanders, 60, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Good Samaritan Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Essie Givens, pastor, and Ronnie Sanders officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Sanders died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born April 8, 1940, in Roswell, N.M. He was a lifelong Plainview resident and had worked for Row Runner Spraying Co. of Plainview. He was a former member of foursquare Gospel Church.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Gene Sanders of Plainview, one daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Stormy Crawford of Plainview; a brother, Jerry Sanders of Stinnett; two sisters, Maxine Skinner of Columbus, Miss and Leta Fay Teague of Brownwood; and two granddaughters, Candra and Sydney Crawford, both of Plainview.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Price, Jackie Voyles, Christopher Price, Tommy Baker, Keith Roden and Michael Ross.

The family suggests memorials to the Alvin Ray Sanders Love Fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M. today at Bartley-Silva Funeral Home, 1200 S. I-27
