Obituary

Funeral services for Ramona Armenta Sanchez, 83, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Spanish Nazarene Church with Guadalupe Moreno officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Sanchez died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in a Lubbock hospital. She was born April 13, 1922, in Topeka, Kan., to Jovencio Armenta and Mariana Luna Armenta. She married Amado Sanchez on June 1, 1938, in Olton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Spanish Assembly of God. Survivors include three sons, Amado Sanchez Jr. of Plainview and Ralph Sanchez and Daniel Sanchez, both of Muleshoe; one daughter and son-in-law, Marianna and Arturo Murillo of Muleshoe; one daughter-in-law, Margaret Sanchez of Plainview; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband; a son, Ramon Sanchez; two brothers, Joe Carasco and Jesus Armenta; a sister, RefuAgia Vasquez; and a granddaughter, Ramona Busler, are deceased.
