Obituary

Alejandra M. Saldana, 83, of Hale Center died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Saldana officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Jan. 14, 2010, at the funeral home. Mrs. Saldana was born Nov. 18, 1926 in Concepcion, Texas, to Guillermo and Tomasa Munguia. She married Eliseo Saldana on Sept. 23, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas. She was a member of Church of the Valley in Hale Center. She is survived by her husband, Eliseo Saldana of Hale Center; three daughters: Diana Saldana and husband, Jose Salandia, of Plainview, Sylvia Jiminez of Lubbock and Mary Ann Dominguez and husband, Ralph, of Plainview; two sons: Rene "Ronnie" Saldana and wife, Alice, of Idalou and Joe Saldana and wife, Lydia, of Lamesa; one sister: Graciela Guzman of Sunnyside, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
