Obituary

Freddy Ricky Salas, 45, of Plainview passed away on July 27, 2014, in Plainview. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Petersburg with Oscar Chavez officiating. Interment will follow the service in Petersburg Cemetery. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Salas was born on June 29, 1969, to Ricky and Yolanda (Garcia) Salas. He worked for Roger Grimaldo Lawn Service. Mr. Salas was known as the "FOX," and the family will tell you his philosophy in life was one man's junk is another man's treasure. He had a great love for working outdoors and was always known for his hard work, but his greatest passion was his family and friends who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Vicenta Salas. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ricky and Yolanda; two sons, Josh Salas Rameriz and Anthony Salas Rameriz; two brothers, Richard Ricky Salas and Michael Christopher Salas; and one sister Diane Salas.
