Obituary

Funeral services for Frank Saiz, 52, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Rogers, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church of Plainview, officiating, and the Rev. J.R. Ruiz of Albuquerque, N.M., assisting. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today and a prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Saiz died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at his residence under hospice care. He was born Feb. 10, 1954, in Hereford to Joe and Frances Saiz. He married Sylvia Hernandez on May 15, 1976, in Friona. He grew up in Friona and graduated from Friona High School in 1973. He moved to Plainview in August 1978. He attended Wayland Baptist University from 1978-81. He had worked for Goodyear and Warrick Furniture. At the time of his death he was employed at Regence Health Network. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Jeremiah Saiz of Plainview; one daughter, Cynthia Saiz of Canyon; his parents of Friona; six brothers, Robert Saiz of Friona, Daniel Saiz of Oklahoma, Nick Saiz and George Saiz, both of Kingsland, Jessie Saiz of Canyon and Gilbert Saiz of Amarillo; and four sisters, Cecelia Steelman of Portales, N.M., Connie Saiz of N.M., Linda Flores of Lubbock and Frances Huckins of Friona. Two brothers are deceased.
