Rutherford, Miles, Mrs. (Margaret Reynolds Lynch) ? Plainview Cem., Blk. 158

Margaret Reynolds Lynch Rutherford, beloved wife of Miles Rutherford for almost 55 years, passed away on July 25, 2012. She is survived by her husband, her son - Hubert Rutherford, daughters - Robyn (Alice Louise) Rutherford French (George), Maureen Kyle Rutherford Crowe (Mike), her granddaughter - Shannon Margaret Crowe, her brother - Frederick R. Lynch and various cousins.

Margaret, also known as Peg, was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 3, 1931. Later, she lived in the Detroit, Michigan area and is a graduate of Grosse Pointe High School.

After graduating from high school, she attended Michigan State University and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She worked on the school's year book and, upon graduation, was in the top 10% of her class. Her family moved to the Ft. Worth, Texas area in 1956, where she met her future husband.

Five months after their marriage on August 31, 1957, she and Miles moved to the Houston, Texas area, where they have continued to live. On many occasions, she said, "I was not born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could."

During their marriage, she was a "stay at home" mom who devoted her full-time support to her husband and three children. Margaret will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
