Obituary

Arlen Rushin, 64, of Plain?view passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Roger Foote officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Rushin was born April 22, 1946, in Paducah, Texas, to William Ollie and Alice Lee Bradford Rushin. He married Ruth Allen on Sept. 3, 1963, in Plainview. He worked as an independent distributor for Borden Milk Co. for 25 years. He also worked for Reliable Life Insurance Co. for nine years and also drove a tanker truck for Douglass Oil and Garrison Oil before retiring in 2008. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Billie Joyce; and a brother-in-law, Gail Dees. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Rushin of Plain?view; two sons, William Andrew Rushin and Lyle Dwayne Rushin and his wife, Crystal, of Plainview; three grandchildren, Ann Marie, Christian and Bryan of Plainview; one sister, Linda Stelzig of Lubbock; and two brothers, Leon Rushin of Grant, Okla., and Lee Roy Rushin of Wewoka, Okla.
