Ruiz, Guadalupe R.

Hale Center ? Funeral Mass for Guadalupe R. Ruiz, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Theresa?s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rey Sorgon officiating.

Burial will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the same church.

Mr. Ruiz died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 28, 1908, in Acamboro, Mexico. He moved to Robstown in 1923, to Olton in 1947, and to Hale Center in 1954. He moved to Waco in 1965 and attended Paul Quinn College, graduation on April 13, 1969. He returned to Hale Center in 1970.

He was a member of St. Theresa?s Catholic Church.

On July 25, 1927, he married Santos Castillo in Sinton. She died July 5, 1980.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Guadalupe and Delia Ruiz of Olton, Frank and Senaida Ruiz of Garden City, Kan., Juan and Petra Ruiz and Raul and Victor, all of Hale Center; three daughters and sons-in-law, Manuela and Leopoldo Martinez, Antonio and Gilberto Vasquez, all of Hale Center and Virginia and Victor Sauceda of Mayfield; 58 grandchildren; 115 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, two sons and three grandchildren are deceased.
