Obituary

Funeral services for Eliodoro "Old School" Ruiz Jr., 57, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church Chapel with Steve Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Ruiz died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010. He was born March 8, 1953, in Weslaco to Gregoria Bruno and Eliodoro Jackson Ruiz Sr. Survivors include one son, Christopher Michael Ruiz of Waco; a stepdaughter, Olivia Trevino of Tulia; six brothers, Hector Ruiz, Jessie Ruiz, Zacarias Ruiz, Guadalupe Ruiz and Rene Ruiz, all of Plain?view, and David Ruiz of Amarillo; a sister, Marisela Davila of Hewitt; and three grandchildren.
