Obituary

Memorial Mass for Armando Ruiz, 62, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Arrangements are with Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Ruiz died Friday, March 6, 2009, in Plainview. He was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Bono, Ohio, to Armando Ruiz Sr. and Carmen Ruiz. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a longtime Plainview resident. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica Ruiz; one brother, Ricardo Ruiz; four sisters, Amelia Morales, Elia Villapando, Rosa Ruiz and Margie Pieper; his father; and two grandchildren, Lilith Ruiz and Saiybree Ruiz. His mother is deceased.
