Aged Petersburg Resident Is Dead
Funeral services for George Washington Roy, 88, were scheduled this afternoon at 2:30 o?clock at the Petersburg Church of Christ with Oran Martin officiating. Interment was to be made in the Petersburg cemetery beside the body of his wife who died four years ago. Arrangements were in charge of the W.H. Lindsey Funeral Home.
Mr. Roy died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Leonard Roy, five miles west of Petersburg. He was a native of Tennessee.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Leonard, Felix, Perry, Miss Nancy Roy and Miss Cora Roy, all of Petersburg, Henry of Hugo, Oklahoma, Mrs. M. E. Dickey and Mrs. Alice Shockley of Amarillo. (Plainview Evening Herald, July 17, 1935)
