Funeral services for Geneva Stovall Ross, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ross died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, in Hi-Plains Hospital in Hale Center.
She was born June 4, 1917, in Cooke County, the daughter of the late George Henry and Ruth Caroline Beevers Stovall. She moved to Hale County in 1928 and graduated from Plainview High School in 1935.
She married John Blanton Ross on Sept. 26, 1936, in Amarillo and they farmed in the Happy Union, Irick and Bell-view communities. He died April 22, 1996.
Mrs. Ross had lived in Santa Fe House from 1996 to August 2001. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Hooten-Dean Sunday School.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Carolyn Courtney, of Plainview, Nancy and Kenneth Thompson of Winters, Linda and Frank Willmon of Perryton, and Susan and Phil Dunavant of Floydada; a son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Carolyn Ross of Plainview; three sisters, Ruth Dill of Rosston, Lillie Plunk and Alma Miller both of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
