Ross, Howard, Mrs. (Willie R. Switzer)

Funeral services for Willie R. Ross, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ross died at 6:11 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2001, in Covenant Hospital.

She was born Aug, 19, 1924, in Brownfield. She grew up in Encino, N.M., where she graduated from high school. She attended business college in Lubbock and moved to Plainview in 1956. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Marse & Son Department Store during the 1980s and began her own tax preparation business in 1985.

She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

In August 1982, she married Howard Ross in Plainview.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Karen Neal of Lubbock; one son, Dwayne York of Orange; two brothers, G.W. Switzer of Floydada and Cliff Switzer of San Antonio; two sisters, Edna Switzer of Plainview and Manon Mitchell of Ruidoso, N.M.; and three grandchildren.
