Services for Lloyd Dow Rogers, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Kornerstone Chapel in Plainview with J.D. Templeton of First Baptist Church in Cotton Center officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday evening at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Rogers died on April 8, 2014, in Plainview. He was born May 26, 1933, to Ena Brock and Elbert Vernon Rogers in Seminole, Texas. He served in United States Army and was in the 39th Infantry Regiment. He worked as a milkman delivering for Cloverlake and later Bell Dairy for many years. He married Jo Margaret Rogers on Aug. 24, 2001, in Abernathy. He is preceded in death by his parents, his previous wives, Eunice and Joan, two brothers, Elbert Vernon Rogers and his wife Helen and Stanley Clinton Rogers. He is survived by his wife Jody of Hale Center, two daughters, Kathy and her husband Philip Childs of Timpson, Texas, and Shirley Rogers of Renton, Wash.; three sisters, Ruth Hudson of Fort Worth, Hazel Qualls of Levelland, Joyce and her husband Bruce Ring of Granbury, Texas; brother, Marvin and his wife Jane Rogers of McAllen, Texas; stepchildren, Anita Burgess and her husband Randy Pyles of Lubbock, Tim Masters, Michael and his wife Lisa Masters, Shanna and her husband Glenn Kirkland, all of Cotton Center, Tracy and his wife Danna Dawson of Tilden, Texas; grandchildren, Elaine Childs, Kristian Magdal, Brock Childs, Jesse Masters, Morgan Masters and Jacob Houk, Jennifer and Carson Battey, Matthew and Eren Kirkland, Aaron Bell, Danielle Dawson, Conner Dawson, Baily Dawson, Megan Masters; great-grandchildren, Hunter Kirkland and Kena Masters.
